John U. Parolo Trust has pledged $2 million to Pittsburg State University Nursing School over the course of 5 years. The donation will help build a 5,000 square foot simulation hospital next to McPherson Hall, adjacent to the Irene Ransom Bradley School of Nursing. In addition, targeted renovations to the existing building will take place, allowing the space to accommodate 120 students. The Trust also provides each student in the PSU Nursing Program with their stethoscopes and blood pressure cuffs. “We’re beyond excited about the opportunities, experiences, and education this will provide our students to prepare them for patient care.” - Cheryl Giefer, Director of the School of Nursing. “We are all so very proud of the compassionate, life-saving work our nursing students and graduates do, as well as of the faculty and staff who educate and train them, and we are grateful to the community and our donors for stepping up to support that work.” - Kathleen Flannery, vice president for University Advancemen do we have any renderings available?John Parolo Education Center broke ground on May 3, 2021.
